Dear Leslie,

As a flight attendant for over 28 years I could not order your "planesheets" fast enough!  Whether flying domestic or international, all airlines are doing the best they can within very tight time frames and space limitations.  When you consider that the blankets are used to cover seats, both before and after incidents involving bodily fluids, (people with all kinds of medical conditions are traveling more & more) & they can only, logistically be cleaned/changed on a daily to weekly basis.  Also we have to deal with fleas, bedbugs, etc, not to mention the ordinary sweat/drool that are simply part & parcel of the everyday cabin environment.  I think your product makes as much sense as wearing your personal clothing.  Congratulations on a fantastic idea.

Sincerely,

Gail (Flight Attendant for a major airline)

PS.  Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.  Best of luck!

Last spring we purchased PlaneSheets for my daughter (who is severely allergic to peanuts) to use when we flew across the country.  The trip was for my sister's wedding & the plane tickets were purchased for us therefore we couldn't check prior on the airlines policy about serving nuts on the plane.

When it was clearly determined that even though we had made special requests regarding this they were uninterested it made me feel SO much better knowing that she at least had some protection in the form of her Plane Sheets.  They really put my mind at ease (as much as could be in the situation!).  Thank you for this product, it is a wonderful concept!

We all know that airlines are cutting budgets in many ways. Clean pillows and blankets are not a reality when the airlines are focusing on quick turnarounds and profits.  Consider this -  the person on the flight before you may have coughed against,  wiped their mouth or nose on, or breathed into the pillow or blanket that you are handed. That is not to mention what has occurred in the seat you will sit in!

Seats are not disinfected and I can tell you from interviewing flight attendants and gate agents that not everyone who needs to wear "Flight pants" actually does - and so your seat may have been soiled before you sat in it.

The flight attendant on my flight last night stated that she gags when she has to think about what those seats have seen in a day of flying. SO, I was happy to meet Leslie Danelian at the LA Times Travel Show this past month. Flying across country multiple times due to a long distance relationship, Leslie and her boyfriend (now husband- Rick Berge) decided to do something about having to sit in unsanitary conditions on planes.

They invented a denim seat cover and were soon the "popular passengers" as flight attendants, pilots, and passengers alike asked how to get a cover of their own!  PlaneSheets is trademarked and now in the process of obtaining a utility patent for this smart invention.

I originally was interested in recommending these covers for the sick kids that are flying to children's hospitals, sick kids camps, or for the much needed family vacation. Many times a suppressed immune system necessitates extra steps - and we all know that flying exposes us to "international germs".

I also liked these covers for people who have environmental and food allergies. It's necessary to assume the worst about the masses of people on flights before you, that is the only way you are protected from their "issues".

I reviewed both the disposable and the washable airplane seat covers on this last flight. That's when I ealized - even though I had thought of this cover for sick kids, it was calming to me to see my child settle into his seat and be surrounded by a seat cover that I knew was "ours". The cover I reviewed was a pleasant sage color, but there are many different colors and patterns available to choose from-camouflage, zebra, and even hot pink - the list goes on to suit your taste. There is also a chenille material for an ultra soft seat. An added bonus is the monogramming option for the Elizabeth Collection solids.

My son sat in the seat with the washable sage cover and I sat in the one with the disposable blue cover. His seat was more colorful, softer and seemed to stay in place easier.  However, I think for those trips where you don't want to haul a cover around, the disposable option is great. The disposable covers come in a pack of two and the washable cover has its very own zipped case for keeping your cover clean and easy to transport.

Thanks Leslie for a smart, healthy invention! Jet With Kids is happy to recommend this cover for young and old alike. For those who are traveling with compromised immune systems or allergies, or anyone who wants protection from soiled seats, PlaneSheets not only personalizes your seat, but protects from any "personalization" done by the massive amounts of passengers who sat in that seat before you!

As a parent of a child with SEVERE life threatening food allergies I did use one of your planesheets on a recent flight with my child and it made me feel safer to know that she was not sitting on all the previous nut proteins and gave a bit more confidence in our flight. I am a Food Allergy Support Group Leader and I always recommend planesheets to other families who asking for tips about traveling, In fact I just gave a presentation to a summer camp and recommended them for the dinning hall.

Thank You for your great work. I look forward to hearing more about planesheets in the future.

I recently learned of your need for testimonials through my food allergy support group.  I love your product and never allow my son to fly without it.  My son has a severe peanut/nut allergy and the possibility of a reaction while in flight is a very real concern.  PlaneSheets has considerably lowered our anxiety when flying.  They are easy to carry, easy to use and do a wonderful job of protecting my son from the seat.  After the flight, we just

leave the plane sheet on the seat as it is now contaminated with whatever food particles were on the seat.  The use of planeSheets plus wiping down the area helps to keep my son safe.  Thank you for a great product!!!!

Good luck!

Dear Leslie,

As an Author and TV lifestyle reporter, I  make a living traveling around the country finding new and unique products that  work! One of my favorite finds for The Ellen DeGeneres show recently was "Plane Sheets". They caught the eye of all of us at the show. Not only did  I bring them on  my various TV shows  but I  became a customer as well. I love jetting onto the plane and  gingerly pulling out the monogrammed coverlet from my carry-on bag to place it on the seat. I immediately feel fresh, clean and  "Protected" from germs odors and who knows what else could be lurking in those used, dirty, uncleaned seats.   I  have never gotten sick after being on a  plane since I began using the Planesheets. For that reason alone they are worth purchasing, not  to mention  how chic and  unique they are. what a great invention!

Much Continued Success.

Dear Leslie

I have found your plane sheets a great way to travel. I am never without them when I travel. I feel a sense of being at home with the sheets and super comfy too.

Dear Leslie-

I want to thank you for my plane sheets!!!

We traveled with our family and friends overseas and had a sense of comfort knowing we would be "critter-free" when we arrived at our destination......as well as "critter-free" when we returned home.  The sheets were light weight and easy to pack. And, since they were disposable, we left them right on the seats when we got off the plane.

I will tell you, the flight attendants ALL commented on how they wish they had thought of the idea!  I hope you don't mind that I gave them your e-mail address.

Thanks again-

Dear Leslie,

I absolutely LOVE your PlaneSheets!  Thank you for creating a much needed product.  I have given your sheets to a friend who is now able to comfortably sleep on the plane...she would barely rest her back on a plane seat without a cover.  She will now even rest her head against the seat with the sheet on it!

I will be ordering many more PlaneSheets for my friends and I who will be traveling often this upcoming spring and summer.

Thanks again for a wonderful product and great customer service!

Kumi

Now, I must tell you, again, how much I like PlaneSheets! You have a wonderful product. I like to use PlaneSheets on airplane seats because I feel more comfortable. It is my space for the duration of the flight and I like having the clean protection of the PlaneSheet. I can rest my freshly shampooed head on the headrest knowing it is covered with a new PlaneSheet. I know my clean clothes will stay that way because I am sitting on a PlaneSheet. I can turn my head and rest my cheek on my PlaneSheet and take a nap comfortably. I keep a "stash" of PlaneSheets at home so I never run out. I don't ever want to sit in an airplane seat again without a PlaneSheet! I also give PlaneSheets as gifts. Most people I give them to haven't heard of them, but think they are a great idea. One gentleman I gave a pack of 2 PlaneSheets to said, "What a great idea, I am going to use them in the movie theater!"

What more can I say? I love PlaneSheets! I tell my friends, "You have heard of Oprah's "Favorite Things" - well, PlaneSheets are one of Vivian's Favorite Things!". Thank you for inventing them and keep up the good work. Your customer service is the greatest and delivery very quick.

Sincerely,

Vivian Byrkit

We've used the PlaneSheet and loved it. It was so incredibly easy, and even the "disposable" ones can be washed and reused a number of times.

I received a request for testimonials through a web support group for food allergies.  I used plane sheets last summer for my daughter who is allergic to peanuts.  We were traveling from Florida to California and she is 4 years old.  I did not want her to have a contact reaction to any nut residue on the airplane's seat fabric.  The disposable plane sheets were affordable, easy to use, and worked perfectly! The peace of mind that came with the use of PlaneSheets is difficult to express.  Thank you!

Our daughter Allison had her first reaction to peanuts while flying on an airplane at the age of one.  We were on a one hour flight from Orange County to San Jose and by the time we landed we had to go straight to the emergency room.  Our daughter was covered in welts and her lips and tongue were swollen - this was from mere contact, she had not ingested any peanuts. Back then airlines served bags of peanuts to everyone on board (some airlines still do) and the contaminated recirculated air plus contact from her seat caused this major reaction.  Needless to say, we did not fly with her for about 7 years, I was too afraid.  But then a family trip became necessary and we flew across the country.  I was frightened, but friends from a food allergy suppport group taught me how to make travelling safer for our daughter.  We used to use a sheet from her crib to cover her seat, before we knew about plane sheets.  Now we do not travel anywhere without either the disposable or regular plane sheets.  Allison will be flying off to summer camp this summer (without parents) she is 12 years old now, and I would not think of sending her without plane sheets.

Sincerely,

Michelle Gerstley

My daughter has multiple food allergies; some anaphylactic like milk, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts.  She is also contact reactive and will get welts where these allergens come into contact with her skin.  PlaneSheets has been a lifesaver--both for her health and my sanity!  We travel between the U.S. and Singapore at least twice a year and I DO know that plane seats are never cleaned well enough as I have often seen crumbs or peanuts in the seats.  Being able to put up this extra layer with PlaneSheets, which are 100% cotton, has helped my daughter tremendously and has eased my anxiety during our 18 hour flights back and forth.  We also use it when we go to the movie theaters (lots of peanut snacks and buttery popcorn) AND at the food court (where we bring her safe foods from home but allow her to socialize in a different setting).  I LOVE LOVE LOVE PlaneSheets as it not only protects my daughter from unclean seats, but eases my mind from her having a reaction from contact.  These PlaneSheets come in so many colors and patterns that it makes it easy for my daughter to choose and WANT to use them.  I have been using these PlaneSheets since my daughter was 5, she

is now 7 and we're so used to it that it's part of our normal traveling

pack.  I highly recommend PlaneSheets as they are easy to use;  easy to put on and off and tuck into your carry-on luggage!  *And for those who are very strict about being clean and hate having the idea of putting your head on something that could be dirty (I honestly hate the head rests); these PlaneSheets will ease the fear and put you at ease during your flights!
